Nerina Pallot

Bloody Hell, I can't get the hang of this. It's almost a week since I saw Nerina Pallot at the Shepherds Bush Empire and I'm only now getting round to letting you know about it.
The show was excellent. She's got the most exquisite singing voice I think I've heard in a long time, and showcased it superbly. From the opening If I Know You, to the fantastic Sophia which ended the show, she delivered a quality set. The highlights for me were the two songs where she dispensed with the band, and strings section and sat and sang at the piano. Damascus has never sounded better (the album has strings on it) and Sophia made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end, just like on the CD. She also interacted with the audience, and told stories, jokes etc.
The only disappointment was that some of my favourites from Dear Frustrated Superstar weren't played. Other than that, a truly great show, and I can't wait to go and see her again.
