Fancy a tipple ?
I frequently do, Majestic not being a million miles away, and I thought I'd share a decent website for any cheapskates out there who fancy a cut price bottle or two.
http://www.quaffersoffers.co.uk/ is a cool site which lists all wine on offer at supermarkets over the next couple of months. There are also tasting columns which are useful if you want a recommendation. I can also recommend a EuroTunnel trip to Majestic in Calais. I've been on a late afternoon trip two or three times now, and the last cost me £29.00. Visit http://www.eurotunnel.com/ukcmain to book, and enter DTLAIN in the promotion code. You have to leave after 3pm and return the same day, but if you order on line ahead of time, the order will be there for you to pick up. I've got it down to a fine art now, so including a trip to Auchan (a local supermarket) and collecting the wine I can be in and out in around 2 hours 30. I think that's quite enough time to spend in France, don't you?
Now, where's me corkscrew . . .

Some Thoughts
My first ever blog, and I thought I'd have a quick rant about my recent experience with the well known high street store not doing too well these days. We all went into Reading on the train to experience the delights of the Christmas sales. First stop was M&S. M&S is not my favourite store - I am a 32 inch inside leg, and M&S offer only 31 or 33 inch trousers. This means that I end up looking like a complete dork with trousers that are too short, or they are too long. Anyway, I wanted to buy some new shirts for work, so duly found a couple in the sales with 15½ inch collars - lovely stuff. I went off to find my wife and was amazed when she told me that the changing rooms were closed! What sort of clothes shop closes its changing rooms during the busiest part of the year? Probably one that has seen its high street reputation plummet. Needless to say, my wife bought nothing, but spent over £50.00 in Primark as she was able to try on clothes to her heart's content.
